
Andrew Grainger is a London born Composer and Pianist. He is also an active organist and accompanist. In past times he also played the Clarinet, Tenor and Alto Saxophones and as an undergraduate he studied the viola and played in the university symphony orchestra.
He graduated is 1983 from Surrey University, UK with a Bachelors Degrees in Music majoring in Piano Performance, and in 1999 graduated from Kingston University, UK with a Masters Degree in Composition.
As a classical musician Andrew has performed solo and chamber works in a variety of settings, but his eclectic musical path has also included playing in Big-Bands, Blues Bands and various other combos. Early in his career Andrew was also active in the popular music field, which included songwriting, arranging, recording and producing.
During a seven year period (2000-2007) living in upstate New York, Andrew was a house composer for a New York City based Music Production House writing music for TV commercials and other media.
Having always been interested in music technology, Andrew has maintained a recording studio in one shape or form since the late 80's. These days it is fairly compact and mainly software based, and he continues to have a passionate interest in this area.
Since 2008 Andrew has become increasingly focused on purely classical music composition in a variety of genres: Orchestral, Chamber, Choral and Solo, and indeed much of this work is available to discover on his site: andrewgraingermusic.com
Dr. M. L. Daniels – Emeritus Composer in Residence

In 2007, The Orchestra performed a piece entitled "Mourning Song". The piece was well received by the audience. After the concert, a gentleman came up to complement the Orchestra and Dr. Rainey on performing the the piece.
Initially, Dr. Rainey did not recognize that he was speaking to the composer! But soon Dr. M L Daniels was recognized by Dr. Rainey. Within a couple years, President of the Orchestra Society, John Gordon, designated Dr. M. L. Daniels as Composer in Residence of the Williamson County Symphony Orchestra.​

From 2008 to 2013, Dr. Daniels would provide a couple of his pieces each year for the Orchestra to perform. And after a few years Dr. Daniels started composing a new piece or two for the Orchestra to perform. The new compositions turned into national entries.

Starting in 2014, Dr. M L Daniels entries from the March concerts of the Williamson County Symphony Orchestra were entered annually into The American Price national competition. Dr. Daniels compositions started receiving National Semifinalist awards and more recently National Finalist awards from the The American Prize Professional Composition for Orchestras – Pops/Light Music.
Nationally renowned composer Dr. M.L. Daniels received his doctorate at the University of North Texas where he studied composition with Samuel Adler.
Dr. Daniels served as chairman of the music department for 15 years at Abilene Christian University and taught music theory, orchestration, counterpoint, analysis, and composition. He has won the National School Orchestra Associations composition contest five times.
He has over 100 published compositions including works for brass ensemble, solo wind instrument and piano, full orchestra, string orchestra, band, and string quartet.
Currently he has 17 compositions on the Texas UIL Prescribed Music list. He has served as staff arranger for Warner Bros. Music and has been commissioned to write band sight reading music for the Texas UIL contests. Dr. Daniels and wife Elaine live in Sun City, Georgetown. We have been privileged to work with such an accomplished musician and inspirational man.

In January 2025, at the age of 93, Dr. M. L. Daniels was elevated to Emeritus Composer in Residence of the Williamson County Symphony Orchestra by John Gordon, President and Director of Music!
