The Williamson County Symphony Orchestra is excited to announce their new Concertmaster, Mr. David Cohen.

Dr. Thomas E. Rainey, Director of Music, stated, “I am absolutely thrilled that Mr. Cohen has been selected as concertmaster. He is a superlative player, a thoughtful and commanding musician, and a natural leader. He will bring an inspiring level of commitment, excellence, and expectation, and is going to make a formidable contribution to our performances. Mr. Cohen knows well the role of concertmaster and has eagerly accepted the challenge to lead our orchestra to even greater artistic heights.”

Mr. Cohen studied with Albert Hirtz of the Pittsburgh Symphony, has performed with the Houston Civic Symphony, the Baytown Symphony, The Borodin Quartet, and currently the Williamson County Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Cohen stated, “I am honored to provide what leadership I can to the orchestra in its Eleventh Season. I am humbled in partnering with so many other dedicated volunteer musicians who deliver countless hours of practice and rehearsal time to pursue what they love; creating the beauty and art of music as part of a full size community orchestra.
