The national award-winning Williamson County Symphony Orchestra will perform 2 FREE family-friendly concerts with the theme “Presenting: Magnificent Music” on Friday, March 8th at First United Methodist Church in Round Rock and Saturday, March 9th at Klett Performing Arts Center in Georgetown. Both concerts start at 7:30 PM.
The concert program is packed full of crowd favorites including:
• Lord of the Dance
• Across the Stars from Star Wars II
• Les Toreadors from Carmen
• Shadow of Your Smile
• Pomp & Circumstance No. 4
• Procession of the Nobles
• Pines of Rome (Mvt. 4)
• And much more…
The Orchestra will once again be conducted by Dr. Thomas E. Rainey who was recognized as a national 2014 Finalist and 2015, 2016, & 2017-18 Semi-finalist in the competition for The American Prize for excellence in the arts for conducting a community-based orchestra. Dr. M.L. Daniels, the Orchestra’s internationally renowned composer-in-residence and 2018-2019 Semi-finalist for The American Prize “pops composers,” will conduct his arrangement of “Nessun Dorma.”
There’s definitely music for the entire family and concert goers of all ages at our concert series. We look forward to seeing you there!
